Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs and GNAs who bring their passion to work. Home Helpers Home Care has been providing exceptional, comprehensive home care services for over 20 years. We are looking to staff a part-time companion care position for a client who uses a cane and has dementia experience. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the potential for increased hours. NOTE: The schedule may expand to Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., depending on the client’s needs.
Requirements
- Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current CNA license
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
- Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work, which includes a negative TB Test
Responsibilities
- Personal Care (bathing, dressing, and transfers)
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping (Laundry)
- Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes
- Assist with medication reminders
- Engage the client in conversation and activities
