About The Position

Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and /or dealer-owned Compact Construction equipment but may be asked to perform the same on Agriculture and lawn & garden equipment depending on the need. Candidates require a strong work ethic to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Communication skills are required to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a self motivated individual interested in working for an established dealership.

Requirements

Preferably one year of experience performing service repairs.
Experience with basic computer functions.
Work independently or in a team environment.
Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of compact construction equipment and agricultural equipment.
Basic fuel system knowledge for both Gas and Diesel engines.
Must have an adequate tool set to perform job responsibilities.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Have valid DOT Medical Certificate Card or be able to obtain and maintain
Valid Driver's license. (clean record)

Responsibilities

Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on Agricultural equipment, Turf equipment and established AG Management Solutions (AMS) products, with a focus on Compact Construction equipment.
Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submission of information.
Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
Conducts and supports customer clinics.
Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for development of skills and knowledge.
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Additional duties as assigned.
Participate in monthly branch on call as needed.
