About The Position

The Community Treatment Technician provides person-centered, recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation and supportive services to youth and adults enrolled in Community Treatment programs. Services are delivered in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings and focus on promoting safety, independence, symptom management, community integration, and skill development. The role also provides crisis support, facilitates groups, assists with medication monitoring, and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • More than 1 year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or a closely related field.
  • Completed 30 hours of psychosocial rehabilitation training within the past two years or has the ability to complete it within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid unrestricted Wisconsin driver’s license and use of a personal car.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Human Services or closely related field.
  • Valid Wisconsin CNA certification.
  • More than 2 years of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide side-by-side support to consumers in community and home environments to promote independence and recovery.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), budgeting, hygiene, household routines, and other skill-building tasks that support continued community living.
  • Support consumers in recognizing, managing, and reporting mental health or substance-use symptoms to ensure safety.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
  • Provide psychosocial rehabilitation interventions as outlined in individual recovery plans.
  • Participate in service planning by offering updates, observations, and input regarding consumer progress and needs.
  • Work in a strength-based, trauma-informed, person-centered manner consistent with Community Treatment philosophy and best practices.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate youth and adult psychoeducational groups, including scheduling, activities, materials, and snacks.
  • Develop or adapt group curricula to support skill development, socialization, and wellness.
  • Provide safe medication observation and monitoring according to program protocols, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through.
  • Support consumers by attending appointments, groups, and other program-related activities using personal or agency vehicles.
  • Maintain mileage logs, monitor fuel/vehicle needs, and communicate maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with Community Treatment standards, agency policy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Cerner, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other technology for documentation, communication, and scheduling.
  • Participate in staff meetings, clinical meetings, and operational updates.
  • Communicate progress, concerns, or changes in consumer status to Service Facilitators, therapists, nurses, and other team members.
  • Participate in school-based meetings, home visits, virtual meetings, and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Serve as a positive role model for consumers and maintain effective working relationships with staff, families, school personnel, and community partners.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
