In this role, we serve as a vital link, connecting families to resources, stability, and support so children can remain safely with the people who love them. This is a community-based position that goes beyond a traditional office setting working directly with families in their homes and communities, helping them navigate systems, solve problems, and achieve long-term stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with 1 year experience; Masters preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with a team
  • Knowledge of community resources or willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Reliable transportation, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and commitment to ethical practice
  • This position requires adaptability. Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on program needs.
  • Community-based staff are considered essential workers.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for kinship foster families and connect them to community resources
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with OKDHS and community partners
  • Assist families with problem-solving and stability planning
  • Provide services in homes, via telehealth, and in community settings
  • Collect data to support program evaluation and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical and program documentation
  • Promote a warm, engaging, trauma-informed organizational culture
  • Serve as a liaison between families, NorthCare, and state agencies
