Join us this summer and embark on a journey filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities! This is a 10-week program and all opportunities are located on-site. All internships will begin on Monday, June 2nd. Housing not provided.

  • Gather in-store data in speaking with the store manager, district manager, and the construction team, along with using the Store Facts spreadsheet.
  • Research and identify non-profit groups that serve that store's community and that also align with Tops mission and are an important part of the community.
  • Coordinate Tops Gift Card donations to approved charities. Invite the charities to the Ribbon Cutting for a presentation of the cards -followed up with a picture of each presentation.
  • Request vendor support for sampling the day of and weekends to follow, through CBM's and Specialists.
  • Coordinate and secure decor and entertainment for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (ie: Ballon Company, musician(s), face painter, mascot appearances, etc.)
  • Coordinate the Sweepstakes and prizes for the store. Work with Advertising to make sure all details are provided for rules and for ad, website, in-store radio, coloring sheet and sign inclusion.
  • Coordinate top 200 customer gift - working with Consumer Relationship Marketing, Accounting, Marketing and Community Relations team to assemble.
  • Work with Marketing and Advertising to ensure all GRO components are communicated for awareness and activation of tasks on their end (signage, mailers, in-store radio, etc.).
  • Be present at store the morning of the Ribbon Cutting to set up for the celebration, make sure sampling is set up and is up and running, musician is set up in the appropriate location, a store team picture is taken with the store manager and greet guests in preparation of the ceremony.

  • Flexible and able to multitask along with ability to prioritize and reprioritize when needed
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Project management and time management experience
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Undergraduate juniors/seniors, post-undergraduate, or graduate/MBA students preferred.
  • Majors preferred: Management, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.
