About The Position

Community Relations Director New Senior Living Community | Simpsonville, SC We are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new senior living community in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and we are seeking a dynamic Community Relations Director to spearhead our pre-leasing efforts from the very beginning. This is not a typical back-office sales position. Instead, it is a hands-on, relationship-focused role designed for someone who excels at generating momentum and building meaningful connections well before our doors officially open. If you thrive on engaging with the community, forging authentic relationships, and seeing your efforts translate into signed leases and a vibrant, fully occupied community, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior living sales, healthcare sales, or relationship-based sales.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal structure during the construction phase.
  • Confident communicator who builds trust quickly and follows through.
  • Organized, persistent, and motivated by results, not just activity.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed for events and tours.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong pre-leasing or lease-up experience preferred, but not required if you know how to build from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Own the pre-leasing effort for a new construction community.
  • Build strong referral relationships with physicians, rehab centers, hospitals, home health agencies, and community partners.
  • Conduct tours from a temporary leasing space and later on-site as construction progresses.
  • Educate families on senior living options and guide them through decision-making with empathy and confidence.
  • Create excitement and visibility through events, outreach, and consistent follow-up.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and track leads, tours, and move-ins.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and leadership to ensure a smooth opening and successful lease-up.
