We are looking for a Community Reinvestment Banking Officer in Denver, CO.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree and 2+ years commercial lending and bank sales, affordable housing, low income housing tax credit and or nonprofit business lending experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Working knowledge of commercial lending, affordable housing and nonprofit business lending techniques and procedures, credit analysis and financial statements.
  • Knowledge of banking products, lending laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Solid analyses, problem resolution and organizational skills.
  • Must have good customer relations, negotiation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various communities and businesses.
  • Must be able to use various word processing and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the implementation of Community Reinvestment lending and business banking programs.
  • Analyzes operational and financial statements and processes of affordable housing, CRA Investment and nonprofit business clients.
  • Provides on-going credit risk and management reporting for affordable housing, nonprofit business and CRA investment portfolios.
  • Analyzes risks and profitability of assigned client base to ensure ongoing profitability and conformity with credit terms.
  • Provides quarterly reports on total portfolio risk.
  • May also underwrite construction, term and working capital loans for affordable housing and nonprofit business banking relationships and oversee credits through the construction process and conversion to permanent financing.
  • Interfaces with lenders to assist with loan closings and reviews and monitors on-going compliance of loan covenants and all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that all credit files include proper documentation including current financial statements, agency reports, etc.
  • Coordinates work with internal departments and external professional specialists (i.e. legal, appraisal, environmental, etc.).
  • May also establish, participate, and maintain relationships with community-based, charitable, and non-profit organizations that support the department's initiatives.
  • Remains well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations relating to affordable housing, community reinvestment and nonprofit activities.
  • Supports other department functions and programs
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $115,000 - $125,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
