About The Position

The Community Outreach Coordinator supports Surterra Wellness locations across Florida by executing and managing community-focused initiatives, including Doctor Pop-Ups, physician office visits, local outreach programs, and volunteer events. This role plays a key part in driving patient acquisition and retention by strengthening Surterra’s presence within local communities and healthcare networks. This role is supporting our Surterra brand. Requirements

  • Age 21 or over (Industry Requirement)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Industry Requirement)
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Industry Requirement)
  • Minimum of a high school degree required; college degree preferred
  • 4 years of customer service experience
  • Experience in a retail or customer service setting
  • Superior customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization
  • Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
  • Throughout extended periods, I must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday. Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above
  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance
  • Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to work 7 days per week including some holidays and to be flexible with schedule
  • Knowledge of marijuana strains, formulations, extracts and other products on the market

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
  • Create a local community that will include employees, volunteers, and surrounding business
  • Maintain clear communication with Store Managers, District Managers, and the Senior Director of Retail, including weekly recap reports
  • Host or coordinate at least one community event per location per quarter to maintain a strong local presence
  • Develop detailed action plans for each outreach event or Doctor Pop-Up attended
  • Increase brand awareness and foster partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
  • Attend relevant community meetings within assigned markets
  • Lead and participate in Surterra-sponsored volunteer events
  • Provide an excellent customer experience while assisting in the education of cannabis products
  • Collaborate closely with Retail and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and outreach alignment
  • Responsible for supporting incremental revenue growth through new patient acquisition, community partnerships, and outreach initiatives
  • Participating in periodic store and field team meetings
  • Manage inbound phone inquiries and route calls accordingly
  • Adhere to all Medical Cannabis laws when educating new patients.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
  • Read industry publications to keep up to date on trends
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
