About The Position

As the Community Operations Manager, you will steer the operations of 4 residential communities, guiding your team toward operational excellence, high resident satisfaction, and a vibrant, inclusive work environment. You’ll ensure the highest standards at your properties while collaborating with regional teams to meet operational and financial goals. Most importantly, you’ll foster a sense of community where residents feel at home, and employees feel valued.

Requirements

  • Five+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication, strategic-planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional coaching, team building and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in software applications, smartphones, and reporting/analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Guide, motivate, and empower your team by setting clear expectations and holding them accountable.
  • Supervise on-site maintenance staff and ensure coverage for emergencies.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, directing work, rewarding, disciplining, mentoring, and problem-solving.
  • Mentor new team members once they join the team, to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Oversee employee performance with guidance, coaching, and development plans.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents.
  • Responsible for accurate resident records.
  • Monitor and manage responses to resident correspondence and work order requests, ensuring prompt, efficient service and maintaining high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and organize events to boost resident engagement.
  • Oversee property inspections, delegate maintenance tasks, and escalate major issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align leasing strategies and resident satisfaction.
  • Supervise the process of conducting tours and finalizing lease signings efficiently.
  • Ensure market-ready vacant units meet property standards through regular oversight.
  • Uphold safety guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Oversee all purchasing procedures and expense management, ensuring precise financial records.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of resident accounts, ensuring legal actions are executed when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Streamline administrative tasks to enhance support for community operations.
