Assembly Media, Inc. is looking for an account executive level Community Manager to join as a core member of the Assembly Digital Team. This person will be responsible for supporting digital and social media communications programs on behalf of Microsoft. As a Community Manager, you will be the brand’s eyes and ears on social and will partner closely with internal and client teams in content ideation, strategy, and copywriting, as well as bring social-first thinking to brainstorms and have a nose for real-time opportunities and social trends. As a Community Manager, you enjoy “running to the comments,” and will be responsible for mining insights, engaging with other users, proactively flag opportunities to the team, and work with strategy and analytics to provide recommendations based on your observations. To be successful in this role, you will have solid research, writing and editing skills and an appreciation for how social media impacts the overall user experience. You will be flexible and agile and will be able to work collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met.

Requirements

  • A solid grasp of core social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social channels as needed) and how brands can successfully leverage them.
  • A passion for social media, from both a branding and cultural perspective, and an understanding of content best practices across social channels.
  • Great writing skills and excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of influencers/ tastemakers across social platforms is a plus.
  • An understanding of the importance of monitoring consumer conversation for relevant insight.
  • Microsoft and social event experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with audiences across TikTok, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, and other social channels as needed.
  • Develop and share engagement initiatives that go beyond reactive responses to actively shape conversations.
  • Craft copy for social posts and exemplify the brand voice and tone in all community interactions.
  • Work with the internal and client teams on brainstorms and quick-turn social moments
  • Exhibit strong cultural competency and the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Identify and implement new formats or content opportunities to strengthen audience connection.
  • Maintain an accurate and current editorial calendar, ensuring all updates and changes are reflected in master documents and tools.
  • Proactively flag opportunities for the brand and escalate issues as needed in a timely matter.
  • Work with strategy and analytics to provide learnings and recommendations based on current trends in the community and industry.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to evolve the brand’s social presence and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain and improve workflows and processes for community management and escalations.
  • Confidently present ideas, strategies, and performance updates to clients while building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ability to navigate client conversations, understand their needs, and foster long-term partnerships.
