About The Position

SYNCO Properties, Inc. is seeking an experienced and resident-focused Community Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment community in Clemmons, NC. This is an exempt, fully on‑site leadership role ideal for a hands-on professional who excels at team leadership, operational excellence, and delivering a high-quality resident experience. The Community Manager is responsible for managing the community in accordance with SYNCO Properties’ policies and procedures, with a focus on maximizing occupancy, revenue, and long-term asset value while maintaining superior physical conditions and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong leadership, leasing, sales, and customer service skills
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management software required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to walk the property and climb stairs daily
  • Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance required

Nice To Haves

  • college coursework or degree preferred
  • CAM or ARM designation preferred
  • Three or more years of apartment or property management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations, leasing, marketing, and resident relations
  • Lease apartments to qualified applicants while maintaining screening standards
  • Ensure units and common areas are market-ready and well maintained
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate on-site staff
  • Manage rent collections, delinquency follow-up, reporting, and budgets
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, vendor work, and contract oversight
  • Complete weekly and monthly operational and financial reports accurately and on time
  • Enforce company policies, Fair Housing laws, OSHA, and risk management standards
  • Maintain positive resident relationships and resolve concerns professionally
  • Ensure on-call rotation is created and respond to after-hours emergencies
