THE ROLE: Community Managers are responsible for maintaining, curating, and analyzing a brand's social media presence. Effective and impactful community planning results in a deep understanding of how a brand's audience interacts, responds, and engages with content across social platforms. These insights are used for future creative development. This role requires close collaboration and integration with all areas of the business (media, tech, data, and various retail touchpoints) and this person will be expected to be able to frame their work in a solid strategy that’s grounded in insight and underpinned by knowledge of digital and social platforms, and organic content. The candidate must feel comfortable working in an always-on environment and be a true collaborator. WHAT YOU’LL DO: The role of Community Manager is exciting, varied, and constantly evolving.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience within a community planning/management role
  • Experience providing inspiration
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Thorough understanding of organic social media
  • Exposure to organic social work that has built a community
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure and get stuff done on a tight deadline
  • A love for learning and teaching new things
  • Great interpersonal and listening skills
  • A close attention to detail
  • Experience with emerging technologies, and a hunger to learn more

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver concepts to feed organic content calendars
  • Take part in content calendar planning; monthly, quarterly, and weekly
  • Partner with the design team to produce social content
  • Write all post copy in the brand’s tone of voice
  • Schedule and post content across a brand's social platforms
  • Have a finger on the pulse of pop culture and social media trends to make conceptual connections that generate content
  • Be open to working west coast hours and occasional weekend live events
  • Analyze data and leverage insights from regular reports to consistently improve performance
  • Be seen as the authority for best practices on organic social
  • Keep an eye on the competition
  • Keep up to date with the latest digital and social trends
  • Report on organic performance (weekly, monthly)
