Our products, services, and programs help financial institutions manage daily liquidity, fund mortgages originated for sale in the secondary market, fund loans and investments held in portfolio, improve their asset/liability management, meet community credit needs profitably, cover temporary deposit outflows, and reduce the funding cost of asset growth. FHL Bank Atlanta also serves the economic and housing needs of communities by providing local financial institutions with flexible options for community development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or pursuing a graduate degree program in economics, real estate, finance, political science, public policy, public administration, urban planning or equivalent.
  • Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work independently or in team setting.
  • Completed coursework in accounting, real estate finance, microeconomics, or community development.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent research skills with strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and project oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities and meet deadlines.
  • This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Atlanta, GA office.
  • This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of the Bank’s Targeted Community Lending Plan (TCLP) annual updates to include research to collect housing, economic, income and other related data, trend analysis, and data visualization via charts, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Assist with business-to-business communications and customer relationship management.
  • Provide project management support including research and analysis.
  • Conduct initial analysis and review of rental and ownership real estate finance documentation.
  • Help coordinate or prepare presentations and outreach in business development efforts.
  • Gather and track information that indicates level of engagement with FHLBank Atlanta’s members.
