Our residential and coaching staff establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery. Our residential and coaching staff establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation, and recovery. Responsibilities of the Community Integration Coach include, but are not limited to, facilitating communication, advocating in the community and with other providers, supporting/teaching activities of daily living skills, being a positive role model, helping transition the client from an inpatient setting to living in the community, and teaching social interaction skills. SUCCESS FACTORS: The Community Integration Coach should actively support the philosophy of the Agency and maintain a high level of commitment to program consumers and staff. Personality traits should include: Open, patient, and compassionate interpersonal style Supportive and goal orientated Philosophical commitment to the concept of human potential Assertive and confident Performs well under stress and in the event of crisis Able to separate personal values from consumer issues Able to uphold professional boundaries
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population
- Experience with trauma informed care and ability to understand phycological diagnoses
- Ability to advocate for client in community settings
- Good computer skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Approved criminal and driving background record check
