The purpose of this position is to assist with reducing infant mortality. This position is responsible for educating families, connecting them to resources, maintaining caseloads, and recruiting additional clients. The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department (TLCHD) is accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and serves as the local health authority for Lucas County. It operates as a regional health district, serving all cities, townships, and villages within the county. The department's responsibilities include preventing and controlling the spread of disease and injury, protecting against environmental hazards, promoting, and supporting healthy behaviors, and preparing for and responding to emergencies.
