St. Louis County Department of Public Health is seeking a CommunityHealth Educator to initiate its COSSUP activities (Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Site-based Program). This is an in-person role, with five days a week working at the St. Louis County Jail. This Community Health Educatorposition is funded by DOJ Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Site-based Program (COSSUP). This position will support substance use education and interventions within Corrections Medicine. This position will help create and refine intake and discharge planning for those engaged with treatment and will create pipeline for assessing contraband for testing via Project EAGLEFANG.This is a grant funded position, funded through 9/30/2026. Please note, applicants who have applied for this position in 2025 need not reapply, as all applications received this year are currently on file and under consideration. The starting salary range is $17.21 -$20.65 hourlydepending upon the candidate's qualifications as well asbudgetary considerations.Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
