For more information, visit www.redditinc.com. We are looking for a Community Growth Analyst to join our Community Strategy and Insights team. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the heart of our growth engine, working closely with Community Marketing, Data Science, UXR, Success, and Growth teams. The Community Strategy and Insights team provides the dashboards, reports, and analytical consulting that allow our organization to understand the "why" behind community behavior. As an Analyst, you won't just report on the numbers; you will be an internal consultant, identifying levers for community expansion, moderation health, and contributor retention. You will help us decode the complex ecosystem of Reddit to ensure our growth strategies are data-driven and community-aligned. This is a highly cross-functional role that will involve working with Community Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Data Science, UXR, Community Success and Community Growth. The Community Growth Analyst builds dashboards, reports, insights, and provides analytical consulting to our Community team to ensure deeper understanding of Reddit’s community ecosystem, moderation, and contribution.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4–7+ years in data analytics, growth marketing, or community insights. You have a track record of driving business decisions through data.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level SQL is a must. Proficiency in databases, data visualization tools, and CRM (e.g. BigQuery, HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce) and experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: You don't just provide data; you provide a point of view. You can see the "forest for the trees" in massive datasets.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a "scrappy" environment. You can work with a UXR researcher to validate a qualitative trend with quantitative data, or help a Marketing Manager understand a campaign's conversion funnel. Ability to easily explain complex concepts with non-technical audiences.

  • Reddit Knowledge: A deep understanding of Reddit’s unique community dynamics (moderation, karma, subreddits) is a massive plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analytical Consulting: Serve as the dedicated data partner for the Community Growth and Marketing teams. Translate vague business questions ("How do we increase moderator retention?") into structured analytical projects.
  • Full-Funnel Measurement: Build and maintain automated dashboards that track the lifecycle of a community from subreddit creation and early adoption to maturity and "thriving" status.
  • Insight Generation: Go beyond the "what" to find the "so what." Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns in moderation, contribution, and engagement that correlate with long-term community health.
  • Cross-Functional Reporting: Partner with Data Science to ensure community metrics are aligned with company-wide North Star metrics. Deliver regular reports to leadership that quantify the impact of community initiatives.
  • Experimentation Support: Work with Community Lifecycle teams to design, track, and analyze the results of community-facing experiments, ensuring we are learning quickly and scaling what works.
