TerraCycle Overview TerraCycle is an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, creating and operating first-of-their-kind platforms in recycling, recycled materials, and reuse. Operating in 20 countries, including 12 in Europe, TerraCycle works with manufacturers, retailers and end users to implement turnkey recycling programs through a range of public-facing services for hundreds of everyday waste streams that other waste management companies are unable to recycle. In 2019, TerraCycle introduced Loop - a platform that allows brands, retailers and consumers to move from a disposable to durable supply chain, enabling consumers to responsibly shop for a wide variety of commonly used products in reusable packaging. Since its debut, Loop has developed into the leading global reuse platform and is available in France, the United States and Japan. TerraCycle and Loop have received hundreds of awards and recognitions and have been highlighted in some of the world's most recognized media outlets, including CNN, Wall St. Journal, Reuters.com, New York Times, Forbes, Time, and thousands of others. Internship Overview Our client-facing teams work to initiate and maintain a dialogue with TerraCycle's brand partners, clients, and stakeholders and are looking for interns to support those conversations. Ideal interns are business-minded with the natural ability to connect with clients and coworkers in order to complete meaningful projects with ambitious deadlines. Our client-facing teams include Account Management and Business Development which support various lines of business including our B2B, B2C, Zero Waste Box, Retail, and Materials teams. Community Engagement interns work with the community outreach team at TerraCycle (“StratPro”) to devise and execute outreach strategies to develop relationships with community organizations and various types of government entities and institutions in order to generate participants for TerraCycle's innovative recycling programs. Ideal interns are skilled at messaging across various audiences, adept at verbal and email communications, creative with personalized messaging, and passionate about sustainability. Interns will be tasked to prepare materials and drive interactions with current and prospective partners by utilizing various communication and research channels to expand outreach on TerraCycles' behalf. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity for candidates with an interest in sustainability in the context of government and community relations, as well as those interested in business development and public interest work.
