About The Position

We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist based in the Hudson Valley, NY region to join our growing team and play a vital role in expanding access to aptihealth’s virtual behavioral health services. In this position, you will serve as the face of aptihealth in the field, building relationships with healthcare providers and connecting patients directly to the care they need. You will call on physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers across your assigned territory to promote aptihealth’s proprietary telehealth platform, which connects patients to therapy, psychiatry, and case management under one digital roof. You will also engage directly with patients across multiple care settings to enroll them in services and ensure a seamless transition into care. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who is energized by community outreach and motivated by knowing their work has a direct impact on people receiving the mental health care they need. Requirements

  • Peer lived experience in behavioral health and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness and ability to travel daily within your assigned territory; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Genuine passion for improving mental health outcomes and a commitment to aptihealth’s mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or related sales experience preferred; background in home health sales, hospital liaison work, or selling to skilled nursing facilities and physician practices is a strong plus.
