About The Position

The Community Engagement Program Manager duties consist of day-to-day management of the Cumberland Community Development Services (CDS)/Day Program. The Manager will provide direct supervision of Community Development Services (CDS)/Day Program staff; case management for Supported Individuals; have a working knowledge of Person-Centered Plans, MANDT procedures; program oversight; advocate for supported individuals to acquire identified services and supports; and create a safe and productive environment for supported individuals to grow and employees to achieve his/ her performance goals. The Manager will also manage the Cumberland Employment program. The Manager will provide placement services to local employers to match job seekers with potential employment opportunities to ensures that the individuals in Spectrum's CDS/Day programs have an opportunity to obtain paid work.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with no more than 2 points.
  • BA or Associates degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness required.
  • High School equivalency required.
  • Must have basic computer skills and competency in Microsoft Word at a minimum.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities of direct support staff in accordance with Spectrum's Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage staff leave requests, staff schedules, and transportation runs.
  • Ensure timely submission of supported individual time sheets.
  • Ensure staff receives required training including ongoing training to provide appropriate supports to supported individuals;
  • Monitor all employees in the electronic payroll system;
  • Participate in the approval of new hires;
  • Approve and review disciplinary actions as necessary;
  • Review all proposed final warnings, last chance agreements, and terminations with Director;
  • Present recommendations for suspension to Director;
  • Ensure the timely completion of employee internal incident reports and follow up;
  • Write and present 90 day and annual performance reviews to staff.
  • Collaborate with supported individual's Community Coordinator of Services (CCS) to develop Person-Centered Plan(s).
  • Prepare for, schedule and attend Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings for Supported Individuals.
  • Develop and monitor the creation of employment/community involvement/health/medical, self-care goals.
  • Train in the implementation of PCP with appropriate support staff.
  • Act as the primary liaison to families, advocates, residential providers, employers, and other interagency programs and departments as necessary (DDA, OHCQ, and Service Coordination);
  • Advocate for services and supports for supported individuals as identified by his/her team.
  • Maintain and monitor records and files of supported individuals.
  • Conduct, at a minimum, a quarterly record review and maintenance of supported individual's files.
  • Support staff to develop and schedule meaningful community activities, with an emphasis on activities that lead supported individuals to obtain individualized, integrated jobs in the community.
  • Work with the nonprofit/business community to identify volunteer opportunities.
  • Monitor the development of the Job Profile Summary for each Supported Individual in caseload and review for quality and thoroughness.
  • Monitor achievement of Spectrum's monthly, quarterly and annual goals in relation to employment, community-based services and the Quality Assurance process.
  • Ensure the daily and accurate documentation of supported individual's progress in relation to goals/outcomes/ behaviors in Apricot system.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation in Apricot that verifies supports provided to supported individuals as required by Spectrum policies and procedures/federal, state, local regulations.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the team's Supported individual's community calendars/work schedule and ensure all information is accurately entered in Apricot daily.
  • Ensure the daily and accurate documentation of supported individual's behavior data in Apricot.
  • Monitor timely completion of documentation that verifies supports provided to supported individuals as required by Spectrum policies and procedures/federal, state, local regulations;
  • Accurately complete and submit Supported Individual's attendance by due date to the Western Region Director on a monthly basis by specified deadline. Report all safety concerns to the Western Region Director and/or Director of QA and Training.
  • Provide oversight of the program in the absence of the Director.
  • Participate in program and agency committees and events as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in required trainings;
  • Develops and researches job opportunities to identify a wide range of employment opportunities for Supported Individuals.
  • Provides outplacement and recruitment services to local businesses.
  • Communicates with business representatives in the Cumberland area to identify business needs and potential job opportunities for Spectrum job seekers.
  • Identifies work opportunities for all clients, through standard job development activities in the community, as well as expanding opportunities at existing job sites.
  • Conducts informational interviews, job tours and job analyses to create truly customized employment solutions for individuals with disabilities.
  • Resolves any grievances or ongoing business concerns with employees placed in their company by Spectrum.
  • Follows up with the business to ensure client is a good fit for the job.
  • Builds and maintains employer relationships.
