Lead AWS Infrastructure's community engagement strategy across the Western United States, building relationships with local stakeholders and organizations to create positive impact while supporting AWS's regional growth. This role requires corporate experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to represent AWS effectively in community settings. As the Community Affairs Manager for AWS Infrastructure in the Western US, you will develop and implement community engagement strategies that support AWS's infrastructure in the region. You will serve as AWS's representative to local communities, building relationships with key stakeholders and organizations to understand their needs and collaborate on impactful initiatives. The ideal candidate brings experience working within corporate structures and community affairs. You should demonstrate the ability to write and speak effectively for audiences of varying sizes, think strategically while maintaining attention to detail, and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Success in this role requires self-awareness, autonomy, and alignment with Amazon Leadership Principles, particularly Think Big, Bias for Action, Earn Trust, and Ownership. You must be comfortable having difficult conversations with community members while achieving productive outcomes, and know when to escalate matters to leadership. This role requires travel (approximately 25% of time) throughout the region, with a base location in Phoenix, Arizona.
