This position is located in Northern Brazoria County It is a temporary position through our Spring Gala with the possibility of permanent employment in the future. Position Overview: The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) works under the direction of the Executive Director or Development Director in setting up and maintaining the office systems necessary to support effective donor relations, administrative, and program operations. Job scope includes assisting with local operations, per defined policies and procedures, including coordinating local events and training activities related to operating a local Refuge for Women program and residential homes. Assists staff and program volunteers in fostering and stewarding donor, community, volunteer, and church partnerships in support of the goals and priorities of the Refuge location. Supports internal reporting and communications with the Central office. Your team contribution: The CEC is an integral link in the process of connecting volunteers and donors to the work of the local Refuge for Women program. This position serves as both an administrative arm for the Executive Director and a public representation at events and functions. The CEC is the communications hub for the location - connecting and communicating with the Central office, staff, volunteers and donors. You’ll be successful if: You have “two sides” to your working skill sets. You love attention to detail and setting up systems and tracking procedures that help an organization run smoothly. At the same time, you don’t hesitate to be in front of others - both donors and volunteers - to communicate with education and motivation about the work we do. You slip effortlessly between the unseen work of administration and the upfront work of leading volunteers and connecting with donors.
