About The Position

The Community Engagement and Support Liaison’s focus is multifunctional with a focus on building and sustaining authentic long-standing, mutually beneficial, multifaceted community connections, relationships, and partnerships. In this position, you are responsible for planning, creating, and implementing initiatives in alignment with the Bank’s core value of Citizenship to further community impact. Through working with internal and external partners, you will oversee all aspects of community engagement, community relationships and partnerships. You will thread community engagement throughout the organization. You will coordinate with Marketing and assist in facilitating sales. Align with engagement between the two while presenting a positive and professional public image of the Bank within the community. You are also responsible for implementing the Bank’s strategic community engagement plan, enhancing our brand/image, effectively managing our outward presence, and working to achieve community business development goals. You must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will have a proactive growth mindset, ready to propel the business with your innovative approach and meticulous eye for detail. As needed, you will liaise with the marketing team to create compelling content and ensure consistent messaging across platforms. With the execution of Community engagement, you will also provide the management of the events, as well as for other company meetings, including event logistics, creating agendas as requested, coordination of materials in advance of meetings, and facilitate cross-divisional coordination. You will attend meetings as requested and maintain a solid working knowledge of the Company’s structure, key personnel, products and services, and policies and procedures. Additionally, you will complete a broad variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to managing an extremely active calendar of appointments, meetings, and conference calls, and completing expense reports for senior leadership. You will also compose and prepare confidential correspondence, arrange complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas, and compile documents for travel-related meetings. You will represent assigned executives in greeting clients, vendors and other visitors; answering their phone lines; organizing and attending Company dinners and other corporate functions including sponsored events as needed. You will use appropriate judgment and knowledge of Company policies and maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters. You will organize and file corporate documents and other records, and administer and process legal, and vendor invoices. As needed, you are expected to research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the assigned executives, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. You will determine appropriate course of action, referral, or responses, and provide a bridge for smooth communication between the assigned executives’ offices and internal departments and/or clients by demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff. You will work closely and effectively with the assigned executives to keep them informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities and following up appropriately. You will successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting letters, correspondence and other tasks. Also, you must prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Driving may be required with this position. Applicants must have a valid driver's license (may not be learner’s, restricted or “to and from work” license) and driving history that meets the Bank’s driver standards. This information will be verified in a Motor Vehicle Report.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related field.
  • Prior work experience in the banking industry.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
