About The Position

The Chancellor’s Office at Penn State Berks is seeking a highly motivated Community Engagement and Sponsorship Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in a confidential working environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members while also managing tasks independently.
  • General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
  • No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
  • Required Certifications: None
  • Applicants must be available to work in person during Chancellor’s Office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

  • This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
  • This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage external sponsorships for the Chancellor’s Office at Penn State Berks, including planning logistics for sponsored events (fundraisers, dinners, festivals, etc.) by organizing attendance, supplies, equipment, and promotional materials as needed.
  • Attend sponsored events on behalf of Penn State Berks, serving as a positive and enthusiastic representative of the college.
  • Collaborate with Chancellor’s Office staff to develop and maintain an overall plan and calendar for memberships and sponsored events.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with community partners, serving as the Penn State Berks point of contact for co-sponsors and other external organizations while ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with other college departments (Development, Strategic Communications), serving as a liaison for the Chancellor’s Office on sponsorships and off-campus community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for campus events (commencement, State of the College).
  • Provide administrative and event coordination support for multi-institution leadership meetings.
  • Process sponsorship and membership invoices in SIMBA.
  • Use and manage a procurement card in accordance with University policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chancellor of Penn State Berks.
