About The Position

Kids Free To Grow is the Child Abuse and Prevention Council for York County that focuses on preventing child abuse and neglect by empowering families and children throughout southern Maine. We are a sister company to Connections for Kids and provide a supportive environment which is invested in the growth and advancement of our employees. We are seeking amazing individuals to join our Community Education team who want to positively impact the lives of Maine children and families! As a Community Educator for Kids Free to Grow, you will develop and implement a priority plan for parent education programming throughout York County. You will attend and work with community partners, schools and community child care providers to deliver high quality evidenced based parenting curriculums. Additionally, you will attend events and do outreach when needed for a strong community collaboration. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • Two years experience working with parents and children
  • Familiar with child abuse prevention
  • Possess a valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Are positive and possess a strong work ethic
