About The Position

Under the guidance of the Farmworker Health Program Manager, this position will have the following job responsibilities: • Provide technical assistance to grantees and other healthcare and community-based agencies to increase access to high quality comprehensive health services for the agricultural community • Serve as co-lead training coordinator • Serve as co-lead for program communications It is expected that this position will work within a team to ensure that additional Program activities are accomplished including, but not limited to, grant writing and reporting, providing staff support to the Program’s governing board, representing the Program and Office on workgroups and committees, and engaging in Office Service Area Team meetings to provide regional support and ensure coordination of services. • Provide technical assistance to farmworker health service delivery sites, other grantees and other health care agencies to facilitate access to high quality, comprehensive health services with patient engagement. • Provide guidance to grantees to support the integration of medical, behavioral health, dental, and enabling services. • Respond to requests for information from service delivery sites, students, community groups, and other audiences about NCFHP and the agricultural worker communities in North Carolina. • Support the implementation of projects that contribute to the health and wellness of the agricultural community. • Assist Program Manager with preparing grants to support access to medical, dental, and behavioral health services. This can involve conducting needs assessments, grant writing, partnership development, and project monitoring• Participate in HRSA’s Operational Site Visits. • Participate in the Program’s strategic planning process.

Requirements

  • Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, political science, business administration, or related field, from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in social work, public administration, or a field directly related to the specific program assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
