The CCC Community-Based Worker through The Guidance Center of Westchester will gain up to 120 hours of hands-on work experience. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Real-World Work Experience Participants—both youth and young adults—gain hands-on experience through placements in community-based settings. We partner with local businesses and organizations that are committed to mentoring individuals and providing meaningful, on-the-job training. These placements allow participants to: Network with professionals and employers in the community Shadow workers and explore various career paths Work in diverse roles aligned with their individual employment or career goals Each participant receives personalized support from both their Case Worker and our CCC Community-Based Worker Supervisor, who: Match the participant with a suitable work experience opportunity Provide ongoing guidance and support Monitor progress and gather feedback from worksite providers Collect timesheets and manage all required documentation
