The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Office of Special Events is seeking a Community Associate to support citywide permitting operations through data management, mapping, and interagency support functions. Under general supervision, the selected candidate will maintain, validate, and manage event-related data across agency systems; create and review maps, routes, and geospatial visualizations to support conflict analysis, construction awareness, and public safety planning; and ensure accuracy and consistency for permitted activities, including public events, film shoots, block parties, and construction work. Responsibilities include maintaining the NYC Event Permitting System and the Special Events Stipulations database through daily data entry and quality assurance, creating, updating, and issuing permit stipulations in accordance with established guidelines processing and maintaining office databases. COMMUNITY ASSOCIATE - 56057 Qualifications Qualification Requirements 1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
