Labor Category: Information Technician 1. Coordinate development of ecosystem program strategic plans and communications products for internal and external audiences; 2. Support development of scientific publications, scientific meeting facilitation and communications related to ecosystem science programs; 3. Maintain proactive relationships through routine meetings with regional and national ecosystem program scientific staff, and regional and headquarters communication teams; 4. Translate and communicate complex ecosystem science information into easy-to-understand formats for regional fisheries management bodies, and other constituents and partners; 5. Prepare written, digital and visual communications content including web stories, brochures, fact sheets, and talking points based on division needs; 6. Support development of user-friendly, web-based data visualization tools and assessment models and tools, including appropriate documentation of methods, code and data used; 7. Use modern web-based applications and content management tools to maintain up-to-date web presence; and 8. Utilize various strategies (digital analytics, surveys, interviews, rapid feedback) to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and improve user experience.
