The Communications Technician B performs assigned projects, procedures, or tasks related to the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of various electronic equipment used for conveying voice, analog, digital, and tone communications, as well as two-way communications and system control. This includes reading and reporting levels at multiple and base band test points to verify operating parameters. The role also involves making revisions and troubleshooting the internal LAN information system. The technician will participate in on-the-job training or other educational opportunities to achieve a level of independent expertise concerning abnormal conditions and higher state-of-art technologies associated with Hoosier Energy’s communications and system control equipment and facilities.
