Searching for a Marketing Specialist with skills and expertise to promote critical services and support for Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable community members. Our dynamic communication team directly works to improve the lives and well-being of individuals and families in need. With a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for community engagement, the Marketing Specialist will contribute to powerful campaigns that drive awareness, support, and positive change.

Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor level degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Experience in marketing, communications or advertising
  • Up to date on digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok and Instagram
  • Experience with SEO campaigns, Google Analytics and Google Ads
  • Experience with executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience designing and writing collateral: brochures, mailings, ads and appeals
  • Photo and video editing experience. Proficient with image editing software
  • Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Produce quality written work on short notice
  • Generate, share and follow through on ideas
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Work independently while coordinating with relevant stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of agency-wide marketing and communications strategies.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating comprehensive marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to high-quality written content, including stories, impact narratives, blog posts, etc.
  • Write compelling stories that highlight program impact and participant experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to strategically promote activities, services and organizational priorities.
  • Provide marketing support for special initiatives and organizational campaigns as needed.
  • Create and coordinate branded materials such as flyers, brochures, toolkits, presentations, etc.
  • Champion the JFCS brand and help organize events that raise friends, funds and awareness.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with brand standards and organizational guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned
