About The Position

Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace. What you'll do Set the standard for great comms in a hyper growth, founder-led company. Work with marketing to help define our brand and raise awareness of Sierra externally as: A generational company; A category defining product; The best AI partner for the best companies; and Great place to work. Overall responsibility for our press, social media (including podcast) and blog. Manage our PR agency day-to-day. Be a key part of the Marcomms team-- pitching in as needed.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the press and social media-- either from working at a company, in government or as a journalist.
  • Entrepreneurial and scrappy.
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills.
  • Creativity and an ability to execute at speed.
  • Experience working within a fast paced company (or other institution), and with independent-minded people.
  • Calmness under pressure, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems.
  • Great team player--able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, internally and externally.
  • Sound judgement and professionalism; comfortable handling sensitive topics and confidential initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in B2B tech, AI, or platform products.
  • Exposure to global comms across the US and EMEA (and beyond).
