Overview The Communications Manager for the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) plays a critical role in shaping and delivering clear, compelling and strategic communications that advance the global HR agenda and strengthens alignment with the enterprise strategy. This role is responsible for managing all CHRO-related communications, developing high-quality content and ensuring consistent messaging across internal channels. The ideal candidate is creative and progressive, a strong writer, and a proactive partner who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed, and highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in employee, executive or internal communications, preferably in a global organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, presentation preparation and storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to craft executive-level communications.
  • Executive presence and the ability to confidently support C-suite leaders.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Proven experience supporting senior leaders and operating as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution capability.
  • Experience communicating with diverse audiences, including frontline or manufacturing populations.
  • Ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments and influence without authority to advance storytelling and decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HR communications or supporting CHRO-level executives.
  • Background in large-scale change or transformation communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field (advanced degree a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic CHRO Communications Lead all direct communications planning and support for the CHRO, ensuring timely, accurate and strategic messaging that reflects HR priorities and enterprise strategy.
  • Develop communication strategies and narratives that articulate the CHRO’s perspective on culture, talent, leadership and organizational transformation.
  • Prepare executive-ready internal and external content, including speeches, presentations, talking points, scripts, social media, global announcements and leader communications, as well as support for advisory boards, universities, Board of Directors and other stakeholder engagements.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling Identify opportunities to modernize communication formats, styles and delivery mechanisms for the CHRO.
  • Create and maintain a consistent “message house” for the CHRO to ensure clarity and alignment across programs, priorities, and channels.
  • Partner with HR leaders to translate initiatives into compelling stories that engage employees across regions, roles and work environments.
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the CHRO and HR leadership team, shaping messages and guiding communication strategy.
  • Manage communications timelines, workflows and priorities for CHRO-related programs and events, and anticipate and address communication risks, sensitivities or change impacts.
  • Act as the primary conduit between the Office of the CHRO and the Employee Communications team, ensuring HR priorities are clearly represented, aligned with enterprise messaging and effectively amplified across employee-facing channels.
  • Partners with key HR process owners and functional HR communicators to develop and deliver seamless, unified messaging that supports organizational priorities and enhances employee engagement.
