Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, with 5+ years’ experience in communications, editorial management, or social media strategy (preferably in financial or professional services).
  • Experience implementing change management best practices for workflow and delivering strategic communications for multiple business units and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms and tools, leveraging technology to enhance communications, workflow efficiency, and content creation.
  • Flexibility and adaptable to successfully navigate evolving priorities and technologies
  • Skilled in collaborating across business units and cross-functional teams, providing oversight and guidance on communication plans, and mentoring colleagues in best practices.
  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments, managing multiple projects, and adapting to changing priorities, including willingness to cross-train in critical departmental roles to support team flexibility.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, consistently ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand standards in all communications.
  • Proven ability to write, edit, and manage multi-channel content, including newsletters, emails, website copy, presentations, marketing collateral, social media, and video, while maintaining editorial excellence and brand voice.

Responsibilities

  • Content library: Build, curate, and maintain a dynamic library of social media content for Member Firms; provide training, promote adoption, and recommend optimal platforms and distribution channels. 
  • Member Firm recruiting strategy: Collaborate with the member firm recruiting team to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies, including the creation of editorial collateral. 
  • Social media management: Lead content development and management for all M Financial social media channels, including creating and maintaining a comprehensive editorial calendar, researching trends, writing engaging posts, designing visuals, publishing content, and tracking analytics. 
  • Original video creation: Write and develop original video content for a range of marketing campaigns and projects. 
  • Advertising promotion: Write promotional content for advertisements in publications and for corporate sponsored events, enhancing visibility and engagement. Editing oversight: Edit and refine all written materials—including social media posts, articles, editorial content, and messaging—to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand voice. 
  • Multichannel content: Develop content for various channels including social media, web, newsletters, and other digital platforms. 
  • Creative collaboration: Collaborate with design and strategy teams to ensure cohesive and aligned messaging across all platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine messaging strategies, editorial content, and social media plans. Participate in sessions as conducted by the team or business—whether in person or hybrid—to ensure alignment with brand voice and campaign goals. Attend on-site marketing team planning and team-building sessions.
  • Event communications: Support communication needs for events, programs, and member firm initiatives, including oversight and development of communication plans. 
  • Analytics insight: Analyze and interpret social media data to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor colleagues in communications best practices.
