About The Position

Our Lady of Light Catholic Community is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Communications and Media Coordinator to support parish communications and digital media efforts. This position is responsible for managing parish content across print, digital, and social platforms while producing engaging media that highlights parish life, ministries, and liturgical seasons. The Communications Coordinator supports the parish mission through clear communication, multimedia production, livestream support, website management, and communications-related technology coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, marketing, or related field preferred,
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in communications, media production, or digital marketing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and media tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Pro.
  • Familiarity with and/or ability to learn diocesan and digital platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced parish environment.
  • Must pass Level II background screening.
  • Valid Florida State driver’s license.

  • Practicing Catholic strongly preferred. Candidate must demonstrate understanding of Catholic parish life, liturgical seasons, and ministry environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a parish communications calendar aligned with parish events and liturgical seasons.
  • Design and produce the weekly parish bulletin, parish-wide email communications, and promotional materials.
  • Manage parish social media platforms and digital engagement.
  • Maintain and update parish website content and announcements.
  • Record and edit video content for parish promotions, clergy messages, and ministry highlights.
  • Capture photography and video at parish events and liturgical celebrations.
  • Support and operate parish livestreams for Sunday Mass and special liturgies.
  • Create and update digital signage content across campus facilities.
  • Maintain inventory of communications and media equipment and recommend upgrades as needed.
  • Coordinate with external technology support providers related to communications systems.
  • Manage the Communications Department operating budget and track related expenses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
