About The Position

Communications and Events Strategist, Mid Key Role: Supports the planning of multiple simultaneous events for a U.S. Army client. Assists with coordination and execution of logistics for in-person and virtual events. Designs, develops, and produces a variety of internal and external communications and events materials. Applies detail-oriented skills, balances priorities, and contributes to a team that fosters creativity and growth. Maintains a driven, collaborative, and strategic outlook, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Applies specific functional knowledge, working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the strategic communications field
  • 2+ years of experience with event planning and execution
  • Experience supporting and executing in-person and virtual meetings and events
  • Experience supporting special events at the local, regional, and national levels
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and events, prioritize as necessary, and deliver to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work across organizational levels, and take complex subjects and make them easily understandable
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Army or other DoD environment
  • Experience supporting and executing international events
  • Knowledge of AP style
  • Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team environment
  • Possession of excellent listening, observation, analytical, problem recognition and problem-solving skills
  • Secret clearance
