About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Communications and Marketing: Social media content and enhancements Marketing/PR opportunities Regular communications with program staff and leadership to develop content and share opportunities for our Members Regularly monitor internal navigating life software for mission related content Foster relationships and coordinate media opportunities with local news affiliates, including, but not limited to: Marshfield Community Media, Hingham and Cohasset Anchor, Harbor Media Design and prepare content for RTR newsletters Plan/coordinate events, including cultivation and stewardship events, mission driven events/open houses, staff lead for local community events, including team Captain for the Falmouth Road Race (running not required) as well as additional events TBD Support with annual RTR Gala planning Other duties as needed, or of interest. Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures. Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies, including staff and Board beliefs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, communications/marketing degree a plus.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in non-profit setting
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Social media management knowledge and experience is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible, adaptable, reliable, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to new systems, tools, and organizational guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Greater Giving and Raiser’s Edge a plus.
  • Graphic design experience preferred.
