Position Purpose: This internship offers hands-on experience in technical writing, internal communications, event coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration within a professional business environment. The Communications Intern will assist in creating and maintaining clear, concise, and effective communication materials across the Business Services Office. This role will support the development of process documentation, training guides, and internal communications, while also contributing to the planning and execution of employee events. The intern will collaborate with the Media department, IT department, and BSO leadership on special projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Experience with documentation and training material development preferred
  • Must be able to work onsite from June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026
  • Full-Time internship requiring 40 hours per week onsite
  • All employees must reside within 100-mile radius of our location at 16680 Balance Cove, Land O’ Lakes, FL  34638.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and updating process flow documentation for business operations and training purposes
  • Draft internal communications including newsletters, memos, and announcements
  • Support the planning and coordination of employee events and recognition programs
  • Help maintain internal communication platforms and ensure content is current and accessible
