About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Communication Support Coordinator - GSSC (Full-Time) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford. Preferred candidates present with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) - SCA Code: N/A. This position is located in the CONUS - Northwest Region. Communication Support Coordinator - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0119 RFQ FY22-SB12 Communication Support Swim Lanes and statement of work (SOW) while maintaining required qualifications with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal). ProSidian Team Members (# FTe’s: 1) work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to provide support with external and internal communications and engagement Communication Support Services as part of general support services at the Hanford Site on behalf of The US Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office (RL) and Office of River Protection (ORP), DOE Hanford Office of Communications (HOC). Support coordination of advisory board meetings including developing presentations for defined topics, while managing and supporting logistics associated with those meetings. Coordinate conference management duties, including tracking of conference attendees, note taking and capturing actions, updating the conference management tools, reporting attendee expenditure data upon completion and returning data. Support public affairs and public involvement activities to include coordinating meeting logistics, tour requests, Speakers Bureau requests, and Freedom of Information Act request(s). Support reporting and tracking of Congressional outreach efforts. Self-identification of areas of needed improvement in reporting processes and initiating helpful fixes for the weaknesses identified.

Requirements

  • The Communication Support Coordinator - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • BS/BA in communications or a related field of study.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled in problem identification and resolution.
  • Demonstrated familiarity or relevant experience with procedures.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public involvement and Federal Advisory Board Committee Act and relevant experience to be able to successfully coordinate, develop, and support advisory board activities related to the Hanford Site.
  • Experience with government procedures is preferred.
