In this role, you will be working for Carlisle Architectural Metals, which is a business unit that supports CCM. We are looking for a Commodity Manager to join our Supply Chain department. This position is responsible for managing assigned commodities within our Carlisle Architectural Metals business, focusing on the effective execution of strategic purchasing activities. This critical role involves building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Inventory Control teams. Additionally, the position requires exceptional negotiation skills to drive value and ensure seamless coordination across departments. Expected schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. This job will require approximately 25% travel throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related majors.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar position; including purchasing and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities to meet business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and commodity risks to inform procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with production, engineering, and operational needs.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, value improvement, and supplier consolidation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on specifications, lead times, and inventory levels.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions, including shortages, quality issues, and capacity constraints.
  • Stay updated on global commodity markets, trade regulations, and industry trends to address potential impacts proactively.
