Job Purpose The Commodity Buyer collaborates with suppliers for assigned items, supplies, and/or materials for assigned group/platform. This position is a hybrid role and requires the employee to be on-site at our CNH location in Oak Brook, IL at least three (3) days per week.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
6 or more years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Other related duties as assigned.
