Job Purpose The Commodity Buyer collaborates with suppliers for assigned items, supplies, and/or materials for assigned group/platform. This position is a hybrid role and requires the employee to be on-site at our CNH location in Oak Brook, IL at least three (3) days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
  • Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
  • May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
  • May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
  • May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
