Know the exterior glass commodity parts and understand cost drivers to deliver cost targets Develop, maintain, and execute the glass Commodity Business Plan (CBP) strategy Foster professional and healthy supplier partnerships Lead, plan, develop, and implement supplier commercial negotiations Work effectively with cross-functional teams regionally and/or globally Quote, negotiate and source suppliers for the purchase price of production parts, and tooling Complete sourcing activities and recommend suppliers for new program lamps Establish and implement sourcing strategy for exterior glass (i.e., windshields, backlites, roof glass, etc.) Assist in the resolution of cost, quality, and delivery issues affecting the supply Support GCT Buyers in both Service and Production and cross-functional partners to develop strategies and implement solutions Identify and implement cost reductions Negotiate cost avoidances for suppliers requesting cost increases.
