About The Position

The purpose of this role is to support the commodity sales team by coordinating multiple daily outbound shipments from our multiple recycling facilities to ensure consistent and reliable movement of materials to keep inventory at safe levels for our plants. This role will require daily contact with our operations teams and customers’ logistics teams to ensure materials are moved seamlessly in all freight market conditions.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of previous logistics experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage unexpected situations
• Familiarity with Outlook & Excel
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a solid waste or recycling environment a plus

Responsibilities

• Daily communication with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory levels to cover scheduled shipments.
• Daily communication with logistics services providers to ensure trucks ordered provide requested service.
• As-needed communication with the commodity sales team on matters that may hinder material movement.
• Grow existing freight network of dependable service providers while reducing freight costs.
• Stay up to date with freight market conditions (including any DOT regulatory changes) and be able to provide management with conditions as they may affect business.
