As a Cx Project Manager II, you will lead commissioning projects of medium to high complexity-planning and executing the work, serving as the primary client contact, coordinating multi‑discipline resources and vendors, managing financial performance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to SSR's quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Ten years related project experience

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer Licensure preferred
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes, project delivery, and systems design for MEP systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes, design development, and construction procurement processes.
  • General knowledge of accounting with ability to create and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with commissioning and project management platforms.
  • Clear, concise communication and presentation skills; strong technical writing and documentation.
  • Judgment and decision‑making skills to analyze issues, evaluate options, and support timely resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete project scope and requirements with clients and stakeholders; clearly communicate scope and expectations to the team.
  • Prepare and implement proactive QA/QC plans; coordinate timely reviews and submittals in accordance with standards and contract requirements.
  • Oversee project profitability by developing or negotiating fees and contracts, participating in budgets, and ensuring timely, accurate invoices.
  • Identify, negotiate, and administer fees for additional services; process change orders promptly.
  • Schedule work; communicate sequencing; monitor manpower requirements across disciplines and vendors.
  • Facilitate clear communication between clients and the project team; document key decisions, issues, and actions.
  • Coordinate activities of the commissioning team, designers, and contractors during design and construction phases.
  • Perform job site visits to investigate field conditions, monitor progress, and verify conformance to design intent, owner expectations, and codes.
  • Perform specific engineering studies and other design analyses using industry software, as appropriate for commissioning scope.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, implement operating procedures, and provide technical information.
  • Participate in planning and budgeting processes including monthly billing projections and budget metrics.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and initiate corrective action as needed; update revenue projections.
  • Supervise close‑out to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are complete; maintain organized archives.
  • Assist management in training, mentoring, and evaluating less experienced Cx colleagues.
