About The Position

To assist and support the project manager in all management facets of the project site and operations. This role involves supervising shelf-stocking, custodial, order writing, and warehousing operations at the Commissary, ensuring efficient utilization of personnel and equipment during assigned shifts. The supervisor is also responsible for equipment and supplies, determining work tasks, scheduling, training employees, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment according to OSHA and CARF standards. The position may require acting as Project Manager and involves direct supervision of client employees and other employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and problem resolution.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of grocery store stocking operations experience.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Must maintain the ability to pass random drug screens.
May require employees serving in this role or at your work location to be fully-vaccinated against Covid-19 (contingent upon providing proof of full vaccination).
Knowledge of warehouse process as it relates to orders.
Ability to function in a military setting.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to prepare numerical reports.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider.

Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supervision of shelf-stocking, custodial, order writing and warehousing operation at the Commissary to efficiently utilize all personnel and equipment during assigned shift.
Responsible for equipment and supplies (proper usage, maintenance, storage, replacement).
Responsible for determining the work to be done and how it is done, with Project Manager.
Responsible for scheduling and assigning all stocking and janitorial work tasks.
Responsible to assist in performing stocking and janitorial duties, as needed.
Responsible for managing and assisting with performing snow removal process when needed.
Responsible for training and developing employees to reach their full potential and maintain stable workforce.
Assist Project Manager in training all employees in basic disability awareness and issues.
Responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are properly followed.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of clients and employees.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the Commissary within OSHA and CARF standards.
May be required to act as Project Manager, which includes walking all areas and making necessary corrections.
Provide own transportation and adequate liability insurance for such.

Directly supervise client employees, employees, coordinate training, and other duties as assigned at the project site.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
