ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assemble, operate, disassemble, clean and inspect food processing machinery and equipment Clean production areas and general housekeeping Perform procedures to cook and package food products Weigh ingredients into batch quantities, use a scale Erect boxes and stage for pack out Pack finished pouches into ship case Stack finished cases Follow food and employee safety procedures WORKING CONDITIONS Indoors-frequently Loud noise-occasionally Exposure to cleaning chemicals-frequently Exposure to raw meat and blood-frequently Work in 40°F coolers-frequently Work in humidity and heat up to 120°F-frequently during summer months Exposure to water from sanitation procedures-frequently Wear personal protective equipment frequently PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ELEMENTS Lift and carry items 40 - 60 pounds, repetitively, frequently Bending, kneeling and reaching Standing for long periods of time Climbing ladders and steps Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic Ability to measure and record data Ability to work in a safe manner Use a computer (with assistance if needed) to complete on line training-occasionally Attend meetings-occasionally
