As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a knowledgeable and driven Commercial Window Coverings Sales & Project Manager to join our team. The Commercial Window Coverings Sales & Project Manager is responsible for driving commercial sales, developing accurate estimates, and managing projects from initial client engagement through installation. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with company quality standards. This position combines sales leadership, technical expertise, and project execution, while providing day-to-day operational direction to installers, contractors, and support personnel, and partnering with management on staffing, performance, and operational decisions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial window coverings, including sales, estimating, and project management
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Sales & Business Development: Ability to generate and close commercial opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of window covering systems and installation methods.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities.
  • Leadership & Coordination: Ability to direct field personnel and contractors effectively.
  • Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets, pricing, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to maintain a strong and consistent project pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, designers, and clients to support ongoing business development.
  • Lead consultations to define project scope, requirements, and appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, bids, and specifications aligned with client needs.
  • Manage opportunities from lead through award, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, take measurements, and identify installation requirements or constraints.
  • Review plans and specifications to develop a complete and accurate project scope.
  • Prepare estimates including material takeoffs, labor requirements, and project timelines.
  • Evaluate risks, site conditions, and cost impacts, adjusting estimates as needed.
  • Ensure all estimates align with company pricing standards and margin targets.
  • Supports estimating activities on the residential side of the business, as needed.
  • Manage projects from contract award through installation and closeout, maintaining ownership of outcomes.
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, and sequencing with internal teams and external partners.
  • Direct day-to-day field activity for installers and contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal personnel to support execution and resource alignment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Monitor progress and address issues related to scope, schedule, materials, or site conditions.
  • Ensure installations meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Track budgets, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate installers, subcontractors, and support personnel to maintain efficient workflow and execution.
  • Provide input to management on staffing needs, performance, and contractor effectiveness.
  • Contribute to hiring, retention, and termination discussions; final decisions remain with leadership.
  • Support onboarding and reinforce company standards, expectations, and processes.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to management.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of window covering products, including motorized systems.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong customer service.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
