About The Position

The Commercial Territory Account Manager is extremely knowledgeable about our inventory and services, the industry, and our market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiencies, safety features and functions, and financing options for both new and used vehicle inventories. He or she presents commercial vehicles to customers in an attractive and highly informative fashion that promotes a prompt sale and maintains an ongoing relationship with customers to encourage networking and repeat business.

Requirements

  • Verifiable sales performance (any industry)
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales
  • Negotiation expertise
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
  • Able to achieve goals with limited direct supervision
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Freightliner, Western Star, or other commercial truck sales experience preferred
  • CDL preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing new accounts
  • Creating and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers
  • Determine the market needs for parts and identify ways to gain additional business
  • Effectively communicating with various managers and the corporate office to resolve issues, and capitalize on opportunities to improve business
  • Understand, promote and comply with all established policies and procedures
  • Maintains accurate sales documentation
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions
  • Helps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements
  • Negotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Helps educate/train new staff members
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Be safe, avoid injury and promote, through positive actions, a safe work environment
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers
  • Embrace our continuous improvement program and training, both onsite and offsite
  • Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all Company proprietary and confidential information
