About The Position

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within an automotive or truck repair environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Experience with quality control processes and standards.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within an automotive repair or maintenance shop.
Proven track record of managing a team of technicians and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team of technicians.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to the automotive industry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, customers, and management.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the automotive repair industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Supervise shop operations and manage a team of technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct quality control inspections on completed work to uphold service standards.
Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
Assist in estimating project costs and managing contracts as needed.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shop personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and meets company standards and customer expectations.
Monitor shop equipment and tools, ensuring they are properly maintained and available for use.
Implement and uphold safety protocols to guarantee a secure working environment for all employees.
Liaise with customers to understand their service needs and provide timely updates on repair progress.
Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving shop operations and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and employee hours.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the shop to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in diagnosing complex mechanical problems and provide guidance to technicians as needed.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to continuously improve shop practices and services.
