About The Position

The Commercial Customer Service Manager will work onsite at our flagship metals plant in Cannon-Muskegon (in West Michigan). Rich relocation support is available for non-local candidates. Travel may be occasionally required as needed for Customer visits and Customer engagement. Commercial Customer Service Manager Summary The Commercial Customer Service Manager leads in the management of the Company’s intercompany sales activities: maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships and contact with customers.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical-related sales experience, preferrable in the alloy or aerospace industries
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project and/or account management skills.
  • Ability to drive excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of CRM, ERP and MS Office software.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Business acumen and financial aptitude.
  • Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with technical aspects of CM alloys and concepts of manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perpetuate sales bookings through direct contact and technical liaison with customers.
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming orders.
  • Develop new accounts and markets.
  • Report on industry and market trends to Sales and senior leadership.
  • Maintain/control inventory levels for finished goods as directed by management.
  • Track/expedite production orders.
  • Assist accounting with collections.
  • Perform order entry/understand guidelines of contract review.
  • Interface between customers and Manufacturing/Technology concerning specification/technical capability.
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular sales forecast for assigned account base.
  • Develop interaction of the technical and metallurgical services group with our customers.
  • As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing/able to work extra hours occasionally, as needed, in order to ensure timely achievement of deliverables.
